    Restaurant Name: Solman’s Restaurant
    Town: Pontarddulais, Swansea
    Date Visited: March 2010
    Website: http://www.solmans.co.uk/

    Location
On the main road in Pontarddulais, plentiful parking available outside.

    Ambience
Normally a busy restaurant, quiet when we visited, perhaps due to the smell of sewage that greeted us when we entered.

    Service
Plenty of staff who are somewhat surly in their demeanour.

    Menu Choice
A good choice of dishes for all tastes including some varied fish and vegetarian options.

    Food Quality
Lamb was good. Chicken rather dry and chewy. Sauces somewhat bland and lacking in spice.

    Value for Money
    Prices generally good.

    Overall Rating
2/5 – a good menu let down by the slightly bland food and the strange smell of drains or sewage – perhaps we were unlucky.
